Who we are
We are a Wichita-area greenhouse builder. Our growing and build partner is a Wichita grower that runs its own production greenhouses year-round, and it carries a 4.9-star rating from 316 Google reviews. Our build crews handle the work from site layout and foundation through framing, glazing and anchoring.
This site exists because almost nothing online explains greenhouses for Wichita specifically. Search for a builder here and you mostly find garden centers, national kit sellers and sunroom ads. Those sources rarely mention that a 200 sq ft greenhouse inside the city still needs a location permit, or that the county exemption runs to 400 sq ft (Res. 080-2017).
What we build
- Custom greenhouses, freestanding or attached to the house
- Geothermal / climate battery and passive solar greenhouses
- Underground and earth-sheltered greenhouses
- High tunnels and hoop houses for market growers
- Commercial production greenhouses, scoped project by project
- Greenhouse foundations and glazing upgrades
How we work
We start with your address, because it decides the rules. Then we look at the sun path, soil, drainage and how far the greenhouse sits from the house. Size gets matched to the permit line you fall under. Foundation follows the soil. Glazing follows your hail exposure and budget. Anchoring follows the wind.
You get a written scope that says what is included, what is not and why. Warranty terms are written into your quote; ask for workmanship and material coverage in writing.
Why our pages show the math and the sources
Greenhouse advice online is full of round numbers nobody can trace. We do it differently. When we say a pit wall in Wichita shades 1.81 times its height in December, we show the calculation in our sun-angle guide. When we talk about heating cost, our winter heating guide uses NOAA heating degree days and dated utility sources, not a guessed savings percentage.
Every code citation links to the ordinance or resolution itself. Where a rule depends on a city we have not confirmed in writing, the page says so and tells you to check with the city. Our permit guide follows the same rule.
What we don't do
Being clear about this saves you time.
- We don't sell kits by mail. We design and build on site.
- We don't promise energy savings percentages. Savings depend on size, glazing, setpoint and fuel price. We show the method and let the numbers fall where they fall.
- We don't count expired incentives. The 30% federal residential clean energy credit ended December 31, 2025.
- We don't skip permits. If your project needs one, we say so up front.
- We don't dig below the water table. Deep pits in sandy river-valley soils can flood. If your site is wrong for underground growing, we will tell you. Excavation is scoped per site.
- We don't build everywhere. Our core service area is Sedgwick County and towns within about 30 miles of Wichita. Hutchinson, Wellington, Kingman and other outer-county projects are case by case. See the service area.
